Caffè Americano

A classic coffee beverage that embodies simplicity and versatility. Made with just a shot of espresso and hot water, this drink offers a rich and satisfying coffee experience. Whether enjoyed black or customized with milk and sugar, the Caffè Americano caters to various taste preferences, making it a staple choice for coffee enthusiasts worldwide.

Ingredients:

1 shot of espresso (approximately 1 ounce)

Hot water

Optional: sugar, milk, or cream to taste

Instructions:

Start by brewing a shot of espresso using an espresso machine or a Moka pot.

While the espresso is brewing, heat some water until it’s hot but not boiling. You’ll need enough hot water to dilute the espresso to your desired strength.

Once the espresso shot is ready, pour it into a coffee cup or mug.

Add hot water to the espresso, filling the cup to your desired strength. A typical ratio is 1 part espresso to 2-3 parts hot water, but you can adjust according to your preference.

Stir the espresso and hot water together to ensure even dilution.

Taste the Americano and adjust the strength by adding more hot water if needed.

If desired, add sugar, milk, or cream to taste.

Serve hot and enjoy your Caffè Americano!

Feel free to customize your Caffè Americano by experimenting with different espresso beans, water-to-espresso ratios, and optional ingredients to suit your taste preferences. Enjoy your coffee!
