Freddo Espresso is a chilled coffee drink that combines strong espresso with a frothy texture, making it perfect for warm weather.
Ingredients:
– 2 portions of espresso
– Ice cubes
– 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (optional, to taste)
– Cold water (optional)
Preparation:
Start by making two shots of strong espresso with your favorite coffee beans. While the espresso is brewing, fill a shaker or individual glass with ice cubes to quickly cool the hot coffee. When the espresso is ready, if you prefer a little sweetness, add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar directly to the hot espresso and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour hot espresso over ice cubes in a shaker or glass. If using a shaker, close the lid and shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds – this will cool the espresso and create a frothy consistency. If you don’t have a shaker, stir the espresso and ice vigorously with a spoon until the mixture is well chilled and frothy. When your Freddo Espresso is properly chilled and frothy, strain it into a tall glass filled with fresh ice cubes. If desired, you can add a splash of cold water for a slightly less intense taste. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing, bright taste of homemade Freddo espresso
