Spiced Pumpkin Coffee

When the leaves change color and there’s a sharp chill in the air, the cozy appeal of pumpkin coffee becomes irresistible. This delightful blend combines the warmth of coffee with the soothing spices and aromas of fall, creating the perfect drink for those cool, cozy mornings or lazy afternoons. Here’s how you can make your cup of pumpkin spice coffee at home, enveloping you in the essence of fall with every sip.

Ingredients:

– 1 cup of brewed coffee

– 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree

– 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

– 2 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste)

– 1/2 cup of milk (any kind to your taste)

– Optional: whipped cream and small cinnamon for decoration

Preparation:

To make pumpkin spice coffee, start by brewing your favorite coffee; rich dark roasting perfectly complements the spices. In a small saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and sugar. Over medium heat, add the milk to the saucepan, stirring constantly so that all the ingredients are evenly combined. Heat the mixture until it is hot but not boiling, as you want to avoid curdling the milk. This gentle heating process allows the flavors to blend beautifully, creating a smooth aromatic blend.

After the pumpkin spice mixture is well heated, pour it into a cup of brewed coffee, stirring well to ensure a harmonious combination of coffee and pumpkin spice. For extra flavor, top your coffee with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Not only does this add a visually appealing finish, but it also enhances the overall flavor profile with a sweet, creaminess and hint of spice.
