This spiced coffee brings added warmth on cold days with flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of strong brewed coffee
– 1/2 cup of milk
– 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom
– 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– A pinch of ground cloves (optional)
– Whipped cream (optional)
– Cinnamon stick (optional)
Preparation
To make this warm winter coffee, first, brew a cup of strong coffee. While the coffee is brewing, pour the milk into a small saucepan. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom to the milk. If you like, include the optional pinch of cloves. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the milk is steaming. Make sure it doesn’t boil. Once it’s ready, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the vanilla extract. Pour the brewed coffee into a mug and add the spiced milk, stirring well. Taste it and adjust the sweetness or spice if needed. For an optional touch, top it with whipped cream and use a cinnamon stick for stirring. Enjoy your spiced coffee.
